Empress of the enlightened Vidyadharas and Dakinis,
Holder of the Dakinis' secret treasury of unprecedented secret instruction,
Queen of the Sky Dancers' wisdom sphere, Vajra of Happiness(Dewai Dorje),
May her tradition be eternally encompassing, spreading and flourishing throughout the far reaches of every direction!

These words of prayer were composed with heartfelt, fervent aspirations by Jigdral Yeshe Dorje on the auspicious occasion of the Clustering of Dakinis (the 25th day of the lunar month). It was written at a time when, having gained a properly-reasoned and unshakeable faith in the lifestory of the Supreme Wisdom Dakini, I received the ripening and liberation (pith instruction that supports) of her profound teachings in their entirety from her principal Heart Son, the Yogin of Activity-Free Self-liberation, Tro-gyal Dorje, like a vase being filled to the brim.

As both Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche II and Kyabje Chadral Rinpoche were so respectful to each other, and that they loved each other so much that it is just natural that Kyabje Chadral Rinpoche feels it is his responsibility to take care of Kyabje Dudjom Yangsi Rinpoche. Yet, there is another reason for this : before Kyabje Jamyang Khyentse Chokyi Lodro passed away in Sikkim in 1959, he had written a letter asking Kyabje Chadral Rinpoche to be mindful about the confusion of the future incarnation of Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche II, and that Rinpoche should be responsible for and take care of Yangsi Rinpoche in the future.

As far as we know, at this point in time, there are at least four so-called "incarnations" (tulkus) of Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche II. With the prophecy in Dakini scripts and other signs provided by the Wisdom Dakini Tare Khandro (the daughter of Apang Terton Orgyen Thinley Lingpa), together with his own realization and other evidence, Kyabje Chadral Rinpoche has thus recognized Pema Osel as the only tulku of Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche II, while all the others are not recognized as such, who was enthroned on November 25, 1994 (the day of Lha Bab Duchen) in Godavari, Nepal. Kyabje Dudjom Yangsi Rinpoche was also offered the special name of "Sangye Pema Shaypa Drodul Rigdzin Thrinley Drupaydey" through a long-life prayer, by Kyabje Chadral Rinpoche (please refer to the inaugural issue of "Light of Lotus"). As Kyabje Chadral Rinpoche is the Vajra Regent and Principal Doctrine-holder of the complete teachings and transmissions of the Dudjom Tersar Lineage, he has the complete authority and responsibility in transmitting back all these teachings to Kyabje Dudjom Yangsi Rinpoche and so, naturally, he is the root guru of Kyabje Dudjom Yangsi Rinpoche.

Then, there is the sixth incarnation of His Eminence Kathok Situ Rinpoche, who is also the grandson of Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche II, that Kyabje Chadral Rinpoche is taking care of. When the baby was born in 1976, Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche II had asked Kyabje Chadral Rinpoche to go to the hospital to sprinkle the holy water and bless the baby, saying that the baby is the incarnation (tulku) of the fifth Kathok Situ Rinpoche. Hence, after Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche II had passed away, Kyabje Chadral Rinpoche saw to it as his duty and responsibility to take care of Kathok Situ Rinpoche on Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche's behalf.

In this way, Kyabje Chadral Rinpoche does his great activities without any kind of attachments. Yet his deeds have never been "flooded by riches and wealth, frightened by the flames of power, contaminated by spoiled offerings, left to the tender mercies of fame and positions, involved in the disputes within the Sangha community, nor erred by heated debates". Everyone knows that Rinpoche will only stay around in India, Nepal, Bhutan and Sikkim, and that he has declined the invitations to go overseas to the West, Taiwan and other places. There might be a few reasons to account for Rinpoche's decision : that (a) there are already so many lamas and rinpoches in those places, and so there is no need for Rinpoche to go there; (b) in order to test the sincerity of those who want to receive teachings from Rinpoche, they should take the journey to come and see Rinpoche to show their respects to both the Teacher and the Holy Dharma, and not the other way round; (c) Rinpoche always love Mother Nature, especially when there are so many holy places in India, Nepal, Bhutan and Sikkim that Rinpoche would prefer to stay in these places; (d) there are so many meritorious ones in the mountains, as well as many Dharma practitioners who are practicing in the variours retreat centers, all of whom
